
Dr. Nicole Steele, The Confidence Coach
Visionary, trainer, facilitator, speaker, writer, youth advocate, and certified life-coach, Dr. Nicole Steele is the founder and Executive Director of Diamond In The Rough Youth Development Program, Inc., an award-winning, faith-based, non-profit mentoring and leadership program. She is also the President of Gem Makers, LLC, which provides creative content, courses, consulting, coaching and conferences to Ladies, Leaders and Little Girls.
Collectively, Steele has more than 25 years experience in the corporate, non-profit and youth development fields. Steele has committed her life to empowering women and girls around the world emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, physically and financially. In addition, Steele is the Executive Producer and Host of A Priceless Perspective, an innovative internet radio talk show geared toward teen girls and their families.
In addition to serving hands-on with the youth, Steele is also the published author of Priceless: A Teen Girl’s Guide to Uncovering the Beauty, Boldness and Brilliance Within, which is an international seller and co-author of The Priceless Princess, an illustrated children’s book. She is also the author of So You Want To Start a Youth Program and is a contributing author in If Her Purse Could Talk. She has been Featured in various newspapers and magazines including being featured in the 2019 Special Edition of PYTTK featuring 50 Women Making Their Mark on Atlanta. In addition she has been featured in the 2012 and 2013 People You Need To Know Magazine and the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Steele has also made numerous appearances on local radio and television programs including Trinity Broadcast Network’s Joy In Our Town and Good Day Atlanta (Fox 5).
Dr. Steele is the recipient of multiple awards including the Department of Education’s 2018 MLK Drum Major Innovation Service Award, 2018 TIAA Difference Maker 100 Honoree, 2018 Raising Our Village Community Award, The People You Need To Know Super Star Award for Girls Empowerment, the Unsung Heroine Award Nominee, the USPS Women Putting Their Stamp on Atlanta Award, and the Soroptimist International Woman of Distinction Award. In addition, Steele was a nominee for the Trinity Nonprofit Award, The Rising In Community Excellence (RICE) Award, and the Jafee Awards.
Dr. Steele has received The State of Georgia Outstanding Citizen Award and the President’s Service Award and The 2016 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama. Dr. DeYonne Parker, native Nebraskan turned Georgia Peach, is a multi-national speaker and facilitator and has graced stages and corporate classrooms around the world to include countries in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. She is often referred to as The Courage Catalyst for her unique ability to help her clients move from comfort to courage. Dr. Parker is the Co-owner of Gem Makers, LLC and the founder of The S.W.A.G. A native of Georgia and graduate of Dekalb Technical College where she majored in Paralegal Studies, McDaniel understands the importance of being passionate about justice and serving others. With over 15 years of combined experience working in Corporate America and for the Federal Government in various capacities, McDaniel decided in 2006 to live out her passion of committing her life to empowering young girls. As a youth mentor and faithful volunteer, she has received numerous awards for her level of dedication, service and excellence. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, community service, volunteering and serving as a HOA and Advisory board member in her community.
